Benjamin's 1st Halloween & Other October Adevntures

I'm not sure if it was the same for everyone else, but October was so productful/eventful for us! Benjamin and I took a little trip to go visit my parents. It was nice to surround ourselves in a different area and perspective. I love seeing the light that Benjamin brings into the lives of the people that are around him.

A couple weeks later, Tommy had to have dental work done in the town we used to live in so we made a trip out of it and got to see (most of!) our friends and family. Hannah, Ethan, Ben, and I were reunited and got to do the Halloween crafts and pictures we had been planning on doing since before the boys were born. We also went to visit my sister and her kiddos, and had them all dress up for pictures for the grandparents. It was their first grandchildren group picture and I think for the first attempt they came out pretty good! We also got to spend some time with our very good friend, Jay. At the end of our trip we got all of our crews together and went out for Halloween! I was so happy to have my closest friends all together with me on my favorite holiday. It was the perfect end to a much needed trip.

To be honest, it was harder than I was expecting to leave. Going back made me realize how much I really didn't miss that place, but the people that are still there and are still very important pieces to my life are what makes the goodbyes so hard. When we came back it was time for Halloween, and although Benjamins Halloween celebrations were basically over, we had a surprise knock on our door that night from Ben's cousin Grayson! So Ben got to dress up for Halloween once more, before the costume would turned into a winter onesie. ;)
