This is Miss MaCalynn, the precious daughter of my best friend Destinie. She was born on March 7th, making this welcoming post about 5 months late, but I love her 5 times more since then. Living in a different state, I don't get to see them as much as I'd like to. But talking to them everyday, and opening up a facetime call to that sweet angel face makes my heart smile on my worst days.
I had never been more frustrated about living so far away than the day I had just gotten back from a trip to Georgia, to get a call from Destinie to hear she thought her water broke. I had been home only hours, I had just dropped off the rental car! I was so excited and anxious but mostly bummed that I couldn't be there.
Before Destinie had even told me she was having a baby, I knew she was going to be a great mother. She is one of the most compassionate, loving, good spirited kind of person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will never forget when she told me the news of her being pregnant, because that was the day I knew I wanted to be there for her for the rest of time. I would do anything I could for this girl, she is one of those beings you meet in life that are just a part of your soul.
So now that there is a mini Destinie, the promise passes along down to her. These girls are my world, they do so much for me just being a part of my life, and I hope we stay a part of each others lives for forever, no matter where we are.
